How the on-road price is worked out
- 1
Take the company price from the maker’s official list.
- 2
Add FBR advance tax (s.231B) for the engine size: three times for a non-filer; none for bikes up to 200cc.
- 3
Add your province’s registration fee and token tax.
- 4
Add the s.234 income tax and small fees (card, book, plates, professional tax).
Not included
- Number plates in Punjab and Islamabad (no published amount).
- Freight, dealer charges and insurance, unless the maker’s price says so.
- Any “own money” premium.
- Late-registration penalties.
Sindh
Sindh’s registration fee could not be confirmed from an official source, so the calculator links to Sindh Excise. Its token tax is on our token-tax page. Sindh ExciseRegistration fees by province
Questions
Is the on-road price the same in every province?
No. FBR’s advance tax is the same everywhere, but the registration fee, token tax and small fees differ. For a 1300cc car the difference between provinces can be more than 1% of the price.
How much more does a non-filer pay?
Three times the FBR advance tax (s.231B) at registration and twice the s.234 tax. On a 1000cc car worth Rs 3 million that is Rs 60,000 more in advance tax alone.
Are number plates included?
In KP and Balochistan, yes: both publish the plate fee. Punjab and Islamabad do not publish an amount, so plates are left out there.
