Last updated 26 Oct 2026
In Punjab a new motorcycle pays a fixed registration fee by engine size (up to 150cc), plus a lifetime token tax, professional tax and the smart-card fee.
| Engine | Registration fee | Total with other fees |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 70cc | Rs 1,000 | Rs 4,000 |
| 71–100cc | Rs 1,500 | Rs 4,500 |
| 101–125cc | Rs 2,000 | Rs 5,000 |
| 126–150cc | Rs 2,500 | Rs 5,500 |
| Over 150cc | 2% of the price | 2% + Rs 3,000 |
The total includes token tax Rs 1,500 (lifetime), professional tax Rs 200 and the smart card Rs 1,300. Number plates are extra. FBR advance tax does not apply up to 200cc. Note that many “70cc” bikes are really 72cc or 78cc, so they pay the 71–100cc fee.
Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Dept, Punjab: motor vehicle tax. Registration fees from the official page; the other amounts are labelled unverified.
